LGBTQ & Friends Loteria & Coffeehouse

Loteria is sort of like Bingo except that it plays with images instead of numbers and letters. It's an old Italian game that migrated to Mexico where it took on a whole new level of cultural importance.

We're adding our own twist to this ancient game, by playing for important members of the LGBTQ family and our extended family of choice made up of women and men who have been our allies as well as fictitious characters our community has taken on as mascots.

Think BINGO but instead of playing for O-69 you play for LGBTQ icons & our allies, both living and deceased. We call out, say, Ellen or Harvey Milk or Madonna. Then you look for that person on your card and if you have them, cover them up with beans and you are one step closer to winning.

Game cards are $1 each per round. There will be several rounds during the night. Players are welcome to play multiple cards at once.

50% of each round's revenue will go to the QCC's fund for future cultural activities to be hosted in Orange County

25% of each round's revenue goes to the 1st person to achieve blackout on their card.

25% of each round's revenue will go to "The Pot at the End of the Rainbow". The winner of each game in each round will receive a raffle ticket that will be drawn at the end of the night to collect the total value at the end of the night. Must be present to win.

In addition, each person attending the event will receive one free Grand Prize Raffle Ticket, to be drawn at our October 2017 Loteria night. The Grand Prize is 50,000 American Airlines frequent flyer miles.
